At Gravières, just a few minutes from Les Vans, La Châtaigneraie is a small-scale 3-star campsite set beneath chestnut trees in the heart of southern Ardèche. This is a place for peace, shade, nature and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

Choose a spacious shaded pitch or one of our rental accommodations, from simple and authentic to more comfortable options. The Chassezac River and its natural swimming spots are within walking distance, about ten minutes from the campsite.

Take your time here: fresh bread and croissants baked on site in the morning, a small outdoor bar, local products and easy-going moments under the trees. Nearby, Les Vans, the Chassezac gorges, the Païolive woodland and the Cévennes offer plenty to explore, with swimming, hiking, cycling, canoeing and characterful villages.

La Châtaigneraie is an ideal base for discovering southern Ardèche… and a place where you may simply enjoy staying.
